Lost Season 5 is sure to be a big hit with many fans, I for one will definitely be tuning in to see the first episode expected to air on 2 January 2009. With so many questions still unanswered have things got out of hand?

Personally I think that if you want an answer to everything the show has thrown open you will be disappointed. I’m not sure on how many series have been agreed but I would be surprised if this was not the penultimate season. I know the creators will keep it coming for as long as its profitable but this season and 1 more would probably do it for me. Most of the cast can probably get lead roles in other TV shows and some even in movies. I’ll be interested to see which way JJ takes it this season.

Any lost fans out there with theories for the new season?

Pride and Glory

This weekend I managed to make it to the cinema for the first time in a while. When we got there it was a toss up between Eagle Eye or Pride and Glory, both movies that I wanted to see. We went with the latter as it started sooner.

The movie has a pretty big all star cash with Edward Norton, Colin Farrell and John Voight all having major characters. The story revolves around Jimmy Egan (Farrell) a NYC Cop on the take with a bunch of fellow officers operating under the watch of his brother in law who is not fully kept in the loop. When 4 officers get slain in a shoot out Ray (Norton) is brought in to investigate after a while off the job.

I thought to myself about 40 minutes into the movie that things were moving a bit slower than I’d expected as I imagined a faster pace more action sort of movie. Although this wasn’t the case there were some great white knuckle and gasp out loud scenes and overall a real gritty movie. I don’t want to give anything in the story line away in the post but I enjoyed the movie even if it didn’t keep up with a movie such as The Departed.

But still a great movie, 3 out of 5.

I think someone has too much time on their hands, I found these over the web, some are better than others but I wanted to share them. If you want to create any of your own please send me a link or image and I’ll add them to the list.

I think my favorite out of these has to be the Iron Giant one, can you get Iron Giant legos or has someone gone to the time to recreate that from scratch?

Call of Duty 5 is due to hit the shelves on 11 November, and Activision have gone back to CoD’s roots and have set the follow up to Modern Warfare back in World War II this time turning to the Pacific front with some key new features including:

  • Harsh New Enemies, Environments and Tactics: Face off against ruthless and tactically advanced enemies that will stop at nothing to defend their homelands, from swamp ambushes and tree-top snipers to fearless Kamikaze attacks. Play as a U.S. Marine and Russian conscript across a variety of Pacific and European locations against the fearless Imperial Japanese and elite German soldiers in epic adrenaline-filled infantry, vehicle and airborne missions.
  • Co-Op Campaign Mode, Call of Duty Style: For the first time in the franchise, Call of Duty: World at War introduces co-op play, bringing fresh meaning to “No One Fights Alone”. Campaign co-op features up to four-players online, or two-player local split-screen, allowing gamers to experience harrowing campaign missions together for greater camaraderie and tactical execution. Co-op mode incorporates innovative multiplayer components such as challenges, rankings and online stats for deeper re-playability and multiplayer experience bonuses. Co-op mode also features Competitive Co-Op that will show who is really the best player on your team.
  • Enhanced Innovative Multiplayer: Call of Duty: World at War continues the addictive class-based multiplayer action the series is famous for. The addition of vehicle combat with tanks rounds out the highly-successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer experience, and features such as persistent stats, player rankings, upgradeable weapons, squad-based gameplay, customizable classes and Perks, have been further enhanced to set a new standard in Call of Duty online war.
  • The Authentic Call of Duty Experience: Built using the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War utilizes cutting-edge technology including highly-detailed character models, self-shadowing, environmental lighting and amazing special effects to deliver jaw-dropping visuals. Depth of field, rim-lighting and texture-streaming technology bring the adrenaline-pumping combat to life, while physics-enabled battlefields and fire that spreads through environments realistically immerses players into the harrowing and dynamic combat.
